Tyrkiet – Alanya – Solformørkelse

Den 29 marts 2006 var der Total Solformørkelse i Tyrkiet, hvor centrallinien gik lige igennem Manavgat, som ligge mellem byerne Antalya og Alanya. 

Vi besøgte også Oldtidsbyen Perge, Kurnusulu Vandfald og Theater i Aspensos.

Alanya. The wall which surrounds the castle is 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) long and includes 140 towers and 400 different cisterns were built to serve the castle.
Alanya The castle is located 250 metres (820 ft) high on a rocky peninsula jutting into the Mediterranean Sea.

Alanya. Most of the castle was built in the 13th century under the Seljuq Sultanate of Rûm following the city's conquest in 1220 by Alaeddin Keykubad I.

Perge. An ancient city founded in 1209 BC.

Kurnusulu Waterfall. The waterfall is on one of the tributaries of the Aksu River.

Aspendos. Aspendos is an ancient Greco-Roman city in Antalya province of Turkey. The Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival still use the theater today.
Aspendos. Alexander the Great marched into Aspendos in 333 BC after capturing Perge.
Aspensos. Aspendos is known for having the best-preserved theatre of antiquity, it was built in 155BC and seating 12,000 people.
